"Dog Eat Dog", by Hernâni Reis Baptista, is an installation that starts literally on the ground, united by a single colour, a base for the remaining works. The show, which includes a video, sculptures, objects and multiple images, seeks to define a territory where a vanishing point is given to the use of the viewer. There is a becoming abstraction of the space itself, which loses its identity, accepting multiple entities and therefore transforming itself into something different. It's about exchanges: the artist with his dog, the movable with the unchangeable, the waste with the richness of the world. This is an exhibition still in progress. Even after abandoning it and following its steps everywhere. Between the domestic and the wild, what is produced here, above all, the attempt to make a show happen as a pure colour, that howls, barks, snarls, shows its teeth and, hopefully, bites where it hurts the most.
