WITHOUT MERCY - ARTIST VIDEO SERIES

The videos session, organized in collaboration with Confederação, takes place saturday at 16:00 and 17:30, in the assembly room of the Circle of Catholic Workers of Porto, and will be attended by some of the authors who are available to talk with the audience. These works reveal different ways of translating the political into pictures: from intimacy to activism, from the playful to the documentary, from local to global, the ways of filming life and the world contained within this program help us understand some of the crossings nowadays existing between poetics and politics, emphasizing an idea already expressed in an interview by Jean-Marie Straub: "A film must destroy at every minute, every second, what was being said in the previous minute, because we are suffocating under the clichés and people need help destroying them."
