Comprising three models in beechwood, scale 1/20, representing three imaginary architectures – which can be read from its utopian, even political, dimension –, David Maranha’s show reflects this human need to create a place on earth where the relationship with nature is enhanced. These are spaces that are being born to infinity, whether it is heaven or the horizon, growing architectures for whatever landscape. Constantin Brancusi, Adalberto Libera and Abbot Suger are some of the names that can be recalled regarding this set of new works presented at Sismógrafo. The author assigns other names to the builders, thereby accentuating, in one gesture, that of nomination, the singular and anonymous nature of these works that do not exist and won't ever exist, however they may exist since the beginning of times.
