Originally written in 2004 by António Brás, on the occasion of the assignment to Sebastião Resende of a career award,, this text sees the light again 10 years after at the exhibition “Fecit Potentiam” at Sismógrafo in 2014, by Sebastião Resende. It is a text that reflects on the role of the sculpture and the artist throughout distinct periods in History. Some questions and methodologies assumed by the sculptor Resende are also present. This publication was distributed for free on the opening of the exhibition.
