MATTINRegler, Mattin

The word is out there: the new record by Regler (Mattin / Andreas Drajan Bryngelsson) on 8mm Records is "the punkest record ever". The record release happened in Sismógrafo with the presence of the Basque musician. The vinyl record will was played in it's full length, followed by a discussion with Mattin.

Mattin addresses social and economic issues related with improvised music and noise through concerts, performances, record releases and writing. Having released and performed everything from song-based music to full-blown noise, his works encompass a critical attitude of confrontation with the institutions, a reflection on the limits and non-written-rules of music improvisation and also commentaries on the roles and expectations of both the musician and audience.
