MARIA MANUELA RESTIVOEthnofiction workshop

Following the exhibition Meio-ermo, by Alexandre Delmar, Manuela Restivo proposes a workshop that seeks to explore the universe of ethnofiction, a genre that mixes ethnographic research and artistic and/or literary creation. From experiences, observations, documents or cultural practices memories, participants are invited to challenge the borders between reality and fiction, crossing the territories of anthropological and artistic practice. 

Maria Manuela Restivo is an anthropologist, researcher and professor. She researches, exhibits, and publishes around popular and vernacular artistic practices, editing the books livros do alhures and the project Arte Popular de Ana a Zé. She is currently an integrated researcher at the Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia - Universidade do Minho.
